Every number below is a median taken from the Board's live postings — the 244 of 536 AI jobs open in the Charlotte region right now whose employer printed a salary range in the posting itself. No estimates, no national averages dropped onto a local market: if an employer did not print a number, we do not invent one.

Compliance, audit and risk backgrounds price near the top, because the rules are the hard part of adopting AI.
45 more postings print an hourly rate — mostly part-time and contract work — and they are counted on the Board but never annualized into the medians above. A few posted ranges are wide, and a median does not flatten them into one number it can't support. The full Board shows every printed range as the employer wrote it.
Why some rows say nothing
289 of 536 postings say what they pay. The medians above use the stricter 244 — the ones that printed an annual figure — because the 45 hourly rates are counted on the Board and never annualized into a salary. The rest followed a hiring convention older than this technology: post the title, hide the number, see who bites.
If a Lane's count looks thin, that is the honest state of the market, not a missing field: the medians move when the postings move, and this page recomputes from the Board every time it loads.
