Job Title: Backend Software Engineer (Java/Python & LLM) Pay Rate: $70/hr on W2 /HR Duration: 12 months Job Requisition: WF000567 Location: Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC Mode: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week, 8 hours mandatory Visa: USC, GC, GC EAD, L2 EAD, H4 EAD, TN About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop backend applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python within a modern event-driven technology environment. The role involves reactive application development, real-time data processing, API development, and integration with both relational and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will also have exposure to cloud technologies and emerging AI capabilities, including LLMs, agentic architectures, prompt engineering, and agent-development frameworks. Experience supporting large enterprise environments or working with ADK or comparable agent frameworks is highly valuable. Job Duties • Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. • Build reactive applications and services using Spring WebFlux and Reactive Programming. • Develop backend and data-oriented solutions using Python. • Design and support event-driven application components using Apache Kafka. • Develop stream-processing solutions and data pipelines with Apache Flink. • Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs for enterprise applications. • Work with both MongoDB and Oracle to support application and data requirements. • Participate in development of scalable, distributed backend services. • Support data flows involving real-time and event-driven processing. • Apply appropriate database technologies based on application and data requirements. • Contribute to cloud-based application development and deployment initiatives. • Explore and integrate LLM capabilities into software solutions where applicable. • Support development of agentic architectures and AI-enabled application workflows. • Apply prompt engineering concepts when developing or integrating LLM-based functionality. • Work with ADK, Playbook, or comparable agent-development frameworks when required. • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, enhance, and deliver production-quality software. Requirements • 4+ years of professional Software Engineering experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education. • 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience. • Strong experience with Spring/Spring Boot. • 2+ years of hands-on Python experience focused on backend or data-driven development. • Practical experience with Reactive Programming and WebFlux. • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures. • Experience using Apache Flink for stream processing and data pipelines. • Strong database experience with both MongoDB and Oracle. • 2+ years of experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs. • Experience with cloud technologies is preferred, with 3+ years desirable. • Exposure to LLMs, agentic architectures, and prompt engineering is preferred. • Familiarity with ADK, Playbook, or similar agentic development frameworks is preferred. • Candidates with relevant large-enterprise or Wells Fargo experience are strongly aligned with the role.
