Job Title: AI & Data Analytics Intern Location: Mooresville, IN Job Type: Part time or Full time Position Summary Overton Industries is building a dedicated program to bring AI and data-driven decision-making into every part of our business, from the shop floor to the front office. We're looking for an AI & Data Analytics Intern to support this initiative for Summer 2027. This role offers broad exposure across the program — helping evaluate and pilot AI tools, working with data from across the business, and supporting projects that are actively shaping how Overton operates. Key Responsibilities • Support ongoing AI pilot projects across departments, including quoting, design automation, predictive maintenance, quality inspection, and operational decision-making • Help collect, clean, and organize data from company systems, including our ERP (JobBOSS), to support analysis and reporting • Build or support dashboards and reports that track key metrics for leadership and department heads • Research emerging AI tools and technologies, and help evaluate their fit for Overton's operations • Assist with automation projects that reduce manual, repetitive work across departments • Document new workflows, tools, and processes as they're piloted and rolled out • Collaborate with team members across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Sales to understand data and process needs • Present findings, prototypes, or recommendations to leadership Requirements Qualifications • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business or Technical major with a genuine interest in AI or data analytics, preferably a rising junior or senior – all undergraduate class levels welcome to apply. • Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail • Comfortable working with data in Excel; exposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) is a plus • Self-starter who's comfortable navigating ambiguity and learning new systems quickly • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical findings to a non-technical audience How To Apply Interested candidates should visit our careers page at www.overtonind.com/careers to apply.
