Lead AI Software Engineer - Agentic AI

Job Summary We are seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer to architect and deliver enterprise-scale backend, workflow automation, and agentic AI solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Python, LangChain, LangGraph, distributed systems, and microservices, along with proven experience taking at least one agentic AI solution into production. location: Charlotte, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $70 - 75 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities • Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable backend and AI-driven platform solutions • Build production-grade agentic AI workflows using Python, LangChain, and LangGraph • Design scalable APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, and workflow orchestration solutions • Work with MongoDB/NoSQL, Kafka or queueing technologies, MCP, and workflow engines • Review technical designs, code, integration patterns, and engineering quality • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical direction • Partner with product, operations, and architecture teams • Support Agile estimation, sprint planning, grooming, and delivery execution • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, reliability, and observability Qualifications Strong hands-on Python backend development experience Advanced experience with LangChain and LangGraph Proven experience building agentic AI systems, including at least one solution deployed to production Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture Experience With MongoDB Or Other NoSQL Databases Experience building and consuming asynchronous APIs Experience with Kafka, message queues, workflow engines, and MCP Experience with cloud-native development, containers, CI/CD, and observability Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience Experience in banking or financial services domains such as KYC, onboarding, or servicing preferred Google ADK experience is a plus Skills Agile,Kafka,APIs,AI,cloud-native environments,CI/CD,distributed systems,distributed system,container orchestration,LLM,microservices architectures,experience with MongoDB,NoSQL databases,proficiency in Python,Python,queueing systems,scalable APIs,sprint planning,code quality,agentic AI,Leadership,architecture,backend engineering,banking,KYC,Agile delivery,onboarding,end-to-end architecture,AI system,financial services,Mentor,AI-driven workflows,security,scalability,deep technical expertise,technical direction,workflow automation
