Our challenge We’re looking for a Senior Generative AI / ML Engineer to build and deploy innovative AI solutions using large language models, foundation models, and modern machine learning technologies. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $105k - $108k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: • Design and productionize generative AI and machine learning applications. • Build RAG systems, AI agents, embedding pipelines, and model-powered APIs. • Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize LLMs for quality, performance, safety, and cost. • Develop scalable data, training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines. • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver high-impact solutions. • Mentor engineers and contribute to AI architecture and technical strategy. Requirements: • Experience in machine learning, AI, or software engineering. • Strong Python programming and software engineering skills. • Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, transformers, embeddings, and vector databases. • Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or AI agents. • Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks. • Experience deploying ML systems using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, CI/CD, and model monitoring. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
