Optomi, in partnership with a leading provider in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior AI Security Engineer to support the execution and operationalization of its AI governance and security initiatives. The organization has established its AI governance strategy and framework and is looking for an experienced engineer to help implement, integrate, and operationalize the required technical controls. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on AI governance execution, AI asset inventory, monitoring, identity management for AI agents, and integration with existing enterprise security platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles. Key Responsibilities: • Execute and operationalize AI governance controls across the organization. • Build and maintain an inventory of AI systems, models, agents, and related assets. • Develop processes for identifying, tracking, and managing AI assets throughout their lifecycle. • Implement technical guardrails and security controls for AI platforms and AI-enabled applications. • Establish monitoring capabilities for AI environments, including log collection, visibility, and alerting. • Integrate AI security telemetry with enterprise security tools such as SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk). • Design and implement identity and access management processes for AI agents and AI workloads. • Partner with GRC, Security Operations, and Infrastructure teams to integrate AI governance into existing security frameworks. • Recommend and implement technical solutions for inventory management, such as leveraging existing CMDB capabilities where appropriate. • Ensure AI governance processes are fully integrated into day-to-day security operations. • Help mature and adapt security controls as AI governance frameworks continue to evolve. Required Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or infrastructure engineering. • Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing security controls—not just designing governance programs. • Experience with AI security, AI governance, or securing AI/ML platforms. • Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts and security frameworks. • Experience with asset inventory, configuration management, or CMDB implementations. • Experience integrating security logs into SIEM platforms such as Splunk or similar technologies. • Knowledge of identity and access management principles, particularly as they relate to AI agents or machine identities. • Ability to work cross-functionally with GRC, SOC, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams. • Strong troubleshooting and technical implementation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience implementing AI governance frameworks within enterprise environments. • Familiarity with emerging AI security standards and evolving regulatory frameworks. • Experience securing cloud-native AI services and enterprise AI platforms. • Background in Security Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or Network Engineering. • Experience building security monitoring and operational processes from the ground up.
