Senior AI Engineer

Experience: 12+ Years | Type: Contract-to-Hire | Location: Onsite – Charlotte, NC | Visa Sponsorship: Not Available We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and develop scalable LLM, NLP, and conversational AI solutions for high-volume customer interactions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, NLP, SQL, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and AI/ML, with experience in voice AI or conversational systems. Key Responsibilities: • Develop AI-powered IVR and conversational solutions using Python. • Build NLP models for text classification, clustering, intent detection, and call routing. • Develop and deploy LLM/RAG workflows and evaluation frameworks. • Lead Agentic AI and multi-step customer interaction solutions. • Implement LLMOps/MLOps practices for monitoring and lifecycle management. • Collaborate with IVR, speech engineering, product, and technology teams. • Mentor junior and offshore AI engineers. Required Skills: • 12+ years of AI/ML experience. • Strong Python expertise. • Hands-on NLP experience, particularly classification and clustering. • Strong SQL and data analysis skills. • Production experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and LLM evaluation. Preferred: Agentic AI, LangGraph/AutoGen/CrewAI, LLMOps/MLOps, cloud platforms, LangChain/LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and vector databases.
