Our challenge: We are seeking an experienced Generative AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning, data platforms, analytics, and software architecture, along with hands-on experience building and deploying solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and other generative AI technologies. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, software engineers, product teams, and technology leaders to define AI strategies, identify high-value use cases, and deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready Generative AI platforms and applications. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $125k - $130k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: • Define and lead the Generative AI architecture and technology strategy for enterprise solutions. • Identify and evaluate high-value Generative AI use cases across business functions. • Design scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective AI platforms and applications. • Architect solutions using Large Language Models, foundation models, multimodal models, and AI agents. • Lead the integration of Generative AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and platforms. • Design data architectures that support AI and ML workloads, including data ingestion, processing, governance, quality, and lineage. • Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to operationalize machine learning and Generative AI models. • Define model selection, benchmarking, evaluation, and optimization strategies. • Establish architecture standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, and implementation guidelines. • Drive responsible AI practices covering security, privacy, fairness, explainability, governance, and regulatory compliance. • Design guardrails for model safety, hallucination mitigation, prompt injection protection, and sensitive data handling. • Lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders, customers, vendors, and engineering teams. • Assess cloud AI services, open-source models, commercial foundation models, and emerging technologies. • Guide proof-of-concepts and transition successful solutions into production. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, data scientists, ML engineers, and application developers. • Define operational practices for model monitoring, observability, drift detection, performance measurement, and cost management. • Develop architecture documents, solution blueprints, technical proposals, and implementation roadmaps.
