Our challenge We are looking for a hands-on AI Lead Architect with strong experience in Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Python, LLMs, cloud platforms, and enterprise technology architecture. The role involves designing and delivering scalable AI solutions, building end-to-end RAG pipelines, integrating LLMs and vector databases, developing Python APIs and services, and deploying AI applications into production. The candidate will also establish AI governance, security, monitoring, evaluation, and LLMOps practices. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k-$140k/year & benefits (see below).. The Role Responsibilities: • Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions. • Design and implement RAG pipelines, including ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and response generation. • Develop production-grade Python applications, APIs, and AI workflows. • Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, tool calling, and model evaluation. • Use cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Implement Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, MLOps, and LLMOps practices. • Ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant, observable, scalable, and cost-effective. • Lead technical discussions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with business stakeholders.
