AI Governance Analyst Role Mission: Enable enterprise adoption and operationalization of Data & AI Governance capabilities across business units and enterprise functions. Rate: 50-55/hr W-2 Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Position Summary The AI Governance Analyst helps business units and enterprise functions adopt, operationalize, and align to enterprise Data & AI Governance expectations. This role bridges enterprise governance direction and business execution by supporting adoption, stakeholder engagement, enablement, and cross-functional alignment. The position partners closely with Data Governance, AI Governance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity, Architecture, IT, Data Owners, Capability Owners, and business stakeholders to accelerate governance maturity while preserving business accountability. Required Skills/ Experience: • 6+ years of experience in data governance, AI governance, data management, risk, compliance, enterprise architecture, business transformation, technology strategy, or related governance disciplines. • Demonstrated experience operationalizing governance, risk, compliance, data, AI, or technology practices across business units or enterprise functions. • Experience translating enterprise policies, standards, or operating models into practical guidance, adoption plans, and enablement materials. • Proven ability to work across business, technology, risk, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, architecture, and data stakeholders. • Experience supporting governance or transformation efforts in large, complex, matrixed, or regulated organizations. Knowledge & Skills • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and relationship management skills. • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority. • Ability to translate governance direction into practical business-facing guidance. • Strong communication skills, including executive-ready messaging and presentations. • Ability to structure ambiguous issues, clarify roles, and drive alignment across stakeholders. • Working knowledge of data governance, AI governance, risk, compliance, or enterprise governance practices. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a regulated utility, energy, financial services, healthcare, or similarly complex environment. • Familiarity with responsible AI, AI risk, data stewardship, or enterprise risk practices. • Experience developing enablement materials, playbooks, or adoption plans for enterprise programs Expanded responsibilities: Governance Adoption & Operationalization • Partner with business units and enterprise functions to operationalize Data & AI Governance expectations. • Translate governance policies, standards, and frameworks into practical implementation approaches. • Support governance adoption across business areas and enterprise functions. • Help stakeholders understand governance responsibilities, engagement models, and decision pathways. Business & Enterprise Engagement • Build trusted relationships across business units and enterprise functions. • Engage stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity, Risk, Architecture, IT, Data Management, and AI initiatives. • Support alignment between enterprise governance direction and business execution. • Facilitate conversations that improve governance understanding and adoption. Governance Enablement • Develop governance playbooks, implementation guidance, and enablement materials. • Support governance education and awareness initiatives. • Identify and help address governance adoption barriers. • Improve consistency in how governance is implemented across the enterprise. Cross-Functional Alignment • Support initiatives spanning Data Governance, AI Governance, Compliance, Cyber, Risk, Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders. • Help align enterprise stakeholders around governance objectives and expectations. • Improve coordination and visibility across governance-related efforts. • Promote adoption of governance practices while preserving business accountability. Governance Maturity & Continuous Improvement • Assess governance adoption and operational effectiveness. • Gather stakeholder feedback and identify improvement opportunities. • Support governance maturity initiatives. • Bring implementation lessons back into governance evolution discussions. . Success Measures The successful candidate will: • Increase adoption of Data & AI Governance practices across the enterprise. • Improve alignment between governance expectations and business execution. • Strengthen engagement across business units and enterprise functions. • Accelerate governance operationalization efforts. • Improve governance maturity and consistency. • Expand enterprise governance enablement capacity beyond existing leadership roles. • Enable Governance Leads to focus on domain facilitation and governance leadership. Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
